Modeling Tip of The Month

Here's how to take inches off your hips and to make your waist appear more slender in photos: when facing the camera, turn your hips to one side slightly, about 30 degrees, but keep your shoulders facing the camera. It still looks like you are facing the camera directly yet adds more movement and variation to the photo while making you appear more slim----which is a good thing because the camera can make you look ten pounds heavier than you actually are!

Two climates, six days, all in a carry-on bag

I went to Miami over the weekend for a two day photo shoot. Before I left for Miami I had to pack not only for Miami but also for Berlin, Germany, because possibly, I would fly from Miami, when the photo shoot was over, to Berlin for a one day photo shoot then turn around and come right back home to Colorado. (I would not have been gone long enough to even get jet lag!) I wanted only to have carry-on luggage because I can't risk loosing checked-in luggage and packing became a challenge! Fortunately, things you need in Miami are not bulky and take up little room in a suitcase so my clothes and boots for wintry Europe had minimal yet sufficient space. It turned out to be quite possible to pack for two climates, six days, all in a carry-on bag. Don't forget, once I get there I am given clothes to wear! Well, it wasn't until the morning of my possible departure that I learned that the Berlin job was canceled. Suddenly, my suitcase seemed very heavy and over-packed! It was a bit stressful not knowing until just a few short hours before the flight if I was going or not, but that is the nature of the business. It is something you get used to and over time you learn that you make your job easier when you are prepared for what might come along.
